GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are investigating an aggravated assault that happened early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a house on Murray Street just before 2 a.m. after receiving reports that someone needed help in the alley behind the address.

There, they found a victim suffering from lacerations.  The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Officers canvassed the area and determined that the assault happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near East Gate City Boulevard.
