THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A 14-year-old Thomasville High School student faces charges for his involvement in a fight that happened Monday afternoon, according to police.

The 14-year-old is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct at school and assault on school personnel.

Thomasville police reported that the incident started around 2:30 p.m. when the teen assaulted another student. A teacher was injured while trying to control the incident.

The other student received minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The teacher was treated for minor injuries and released from Novant Health PrimeCare Express.
