Police investigating 2 armed robberies in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that happened Sunday night.

The first robbery happened at 7:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Homeland Avenue.

A Papa John’s employee was making a delivery in the area when he was approached by two men, one of which had a firearm.

The men robbed the delivery driver of money and property before fleeing the area on foot.

The second robbery happened just before 10 p.m. at the Subway located at 1029 Alamance Church Road.

According to police, two men, one brandishing a handgun, entered the business and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The men fled on foot in an unknown direction.
