Graham man charged with indecent liberties with a child

GRAHAM, N.C. — A Graham man has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

On Nov. 11, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of indecent liberties with a child in the southern part of Alamance County. The report was filled by a parent.

The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office investigated and subsequently issued warrants in the case. On Friday, investigators charged 65-year-old Sherman Forester Thompson of Graham.

The victim is a female under the age of 15.

Thompson is being held in Alamance County Detention Center under a $250,000 secure bond. He is scheduled for his first appearance on Monday at the Alamance County District Court in Graham.
