Former NC middle school employee charged for stabbing his wife with a knife

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — A former middle school employee in Brunswick County was charged with stabbing his wife with a knife, according to WECT.

Edward Earl Jones, 70, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The Southport police chief told WECT that Jones’ wife was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jones is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center without bond.
