Homicide investigation underway after body found on US 52 in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A homicide investigation is underway after police found a man's body on U.S. 52.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department began searching for 23-year-old Jaquan Manchezor Rodman at 12:37 a.m. after receiving information that he had been kidnapped.

During the search, a driver traveling north on U.S. 52 discovered a body on the side of the road and called police.

After responding to the scene, officers found Rodman's body.

Evidence collected at the scene indicated that Rodman had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
