Student strives for success while raising 3-year-old son

College senior Kee'aera Hood stays busy. On top of all her extra-curricular activities, her first full-time job is taking care of her 3-year-old son.

Hood, a biology major from Indian Trail, N.C., has been on the honor's and dean's lists since her freshman year.

Now, she is serving as this year's Miss Bennett College.

After graduation, Hood plans to go to medical school.

She wants to study at Wake Forest to become an OBGYN.
