RALEIGH, N.C. — More than two years after a mother was murdered at her Raleigh apartment, a second suspect in the case faced a judge Monday.

Travian Devonte Smith is one of three people charged in connection with the death of 30-year-old Melissa Huggins-Jones.

Huggins-Jones had just moved to Raleigh from Tennessee for a job when she was found beaten to death at her apartment in Raleigh’s North Hills community on May 14, 2013.
