NEW YORK — One person was killed and two others were injured during a shooting near Penn Station, according to PIX11.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. Monday at 35th Street and 8th Avenue.

The first victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.

Two other victims were injured during the shooting. A 43-year-old man was shot in the neck and the stomach and a third victim was shot in the leg, according to police.

Police told PIX11 that the gunman may have escaped in a silver car.
