Asheboro police investigate shooting on Dunlap Street

ASHEBORO, N.C. – The Asheboro Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in the 400 block of Dunlap Street early Saturday morning.

Officers found Kalvin Curry, 29,  lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound around 4 a.m., police said.

Police said Curry was taken to Randolph Hospital and then airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Health.

Curry’s condition is stable at this time, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
