Two arrested in connection to Rowan County home break-ins

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were arrested in connection to several home break-ins in the western part of Rowan County.

During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for a home at 5440 U.S. Highway 601 in Salisbury.

When deputies served the search warrant, they discovered several firearms that had been reported stolen from various homes in the area.

Detectives seized five firearms, electronics and other property that they say is likely stolen.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Masiah Claybrook, and 58-year-old Allan Jerome Gooden, who is a convicted felon, were arrested.

Gooden was charged with felony possession of stolen propertty, possession of stolen firearms and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was placed in jail under a $15,000 secured bond.

Claybrook was charged with felony possession of stolen property; felony breaking, entering and larceny; and larceny of a firearm. He was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.

This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
