WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Tart Sweets bakery in downtown Winston-Salem is moving from 1318 South Hawthorne Road to 848 West Fifth St., the former location of Michael’s restaurant, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Chelsea and Lynn Tart opened Tart Sweets in 2013. They decided to move the bakery because they’ve outgrown the current space.

The move will allow Tart Sweets to add a full-service coffee shop called Camel City Coffee. The coffee shop, run by Skyler Brown, will also offer breakfast items.

Tart Sweets also plans to open a tea room early next year. Tart Sweets expects to be moved into the new location by mid-November.
