Police searching for man involved in Kernersville shooting

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for a man they say shot another man this week.

A white man walked to the fire station Tuesday located at 316 W. Bodenhamer St. reporting he was shot with a firearm. This man was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to be treated for his injury.

Based upon the investigation, a warrant for arrest was issued for Miguel G. Gonzalez Jr. for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Anyone with information about the location of Gonzalez is asked to contact local law enforcement or Crimestoppers.

A second warrant was obtained on Micheal W. Roten for accessory after the fact of a felony. He is currently being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center under no bond.

This investigation is still ongoing.
