Patrick Ireland was known as the "boy in the window" who survived the horrific shooting at Columbine High School.

Ireland was shot twice in his head and once in his foot.

People around the world saw him being pulled to safety through a shattered glass window.

On that horrific day in 1999, 13 people were killed and almost two dozen others were wounded.  Sixteen years later, Ireland is a husband, father, and successful financial adviser.

He is the keynote speaker Friday night at a fundraiser for the Mental Health Association of Forsyth County. The program begins at 7 p.m. at Wake Forest Biotech Place.

Ireland sat down with FOX8’s Julie Grant and told her how he managed to move forward after the shooting.
