Warm up with these hot drink recipes

We’ve gotten a taste of the colder weather to come, so on this Recipe Wednesday we’re warming you up with some hot drinks.

Sheetz shared their secrets to  making the best beverages at home.  From caramel hot chocolate to homemade mocha lattes, we’ll show you ways to create yummy drinks in your own kitchen.

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/3 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons Dulce De Leche

Method:

Gather all ingredients and place in blender

Blend on pulse or high sheer setting for smooth milkshake texture

Add whipped topping and drizzle some dulce de leche on top if desired.

Maple Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-3 tbsp. maple syrup (per your liking)
  • Espresso

Optional:

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract or add  ¼ oz vanilla syrup (can be found in some gourmet food stores)
  • Smooths out aftertaste a little bit, completely up to you

Method:

In bottom of cup pour maple syrup

Heat a cup of milk on stove over low-med heat while whisking. Do so until you reach foamed consistency you enjoy in your latte. Be careful not to scorch milk.

Pour your desired amount of espresso (1/2 – 2 oz) into cup with maple syrup. Stir.

Pour in heated milk, holding back any larger amount of foam. Stir. Use remaining foam to top off the drink.

Caramel Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dulce De Leche

Method:

Add Dulce and chocolate sauce to the bottom of your cup.

Heat a cup of milk on stove over low-med heat. Be careful not to scorch milk.

Stir

Pour in heated milk, holding back any larger amount of foam. Stir. Use remaining foam to top off the drink. Can top drink off with more chocolate sauce if desired.

MTO Mocha

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate sauce
  • Espresso
  • Add flavor syrup/sauce to taste (can be found in some gourmet food stores)

Method:

Add flavoring and chocolate sauce to the bottom of your cup.
