Suspect sought in High Point, Davidson County for alleged vehicle break-ins

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect in connection with multiple alleged vehicle break-ins.

Austin Douglas McMasters, 18, has 16 outstanding warrants from both High Point and Davidson County.

High Point police said between Aug. 19 and Sept. 25, there were 16 vehicles broken into in the north and northwest sides of High Point.

On Sept. 25, High Point police were able to locate a group of suspects breaking into vehicles in the Laurel Oak apartment complex. Police said the location had been targeted on several previous occasions.

Police were able to apprehend all the suspects after a foot chase except for McMasters.

McMasters has also been charged out of Davidson County for breaking into vehicles.
