SC teen shot, killed while hunting with foster dad

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — A teenager died after being shot in the chest while hunting with her foster father, WYFF reported.

Amanda Daniele Foster, 17, attended Pendleton High School, and had been living with her foster parents for more than two years.

Deputies responded to the woods behind Foster’s home.

Foster was shot with a high-powered rifle. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Officials said she was wearing full camouflage gear when the shooting happened.

The Sheriff’s Office has turned the investigation over to the Department of Natural Resources.
