CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Investigators in Ohio have identified a woman whose body was found hanging from a fence on Tuesday.

Officials said 31-year-old Rebecca Cade got into a fight with an attacker, ran into a lot surrounded by a fence, and got stuck on the fence trying to escape.

Neighbors thought the woman’s body was a Halloween decoration, according to WKRC.

“Just put my hands over my face and said, ‘This can’t be happening here, it’s not real and I just didn’t see what I thought I saw,'” Tammy Dixon said.

Construction workers called police when they discovered it was a body.

Donnie Cochenour Jr., 27, is being held on a $2 million bond after he pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in connection with Cade’s death. A bloody rock found near the woman’s body was apparently used in the attack, according to Ross County Prosecutor Matt Schmidt.
