GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man killed in his home in September was shot in the head, according to a recently released autopsy report, the News & Record reported.

Charles Scott Douglas, 64, of 2715-C Patio Place was fatally shot in his Claremont Court apartment Sept. 21. Police responded to a call of shots fired about 11:30 p.m. at the Greensboro Housing Authority apartment complex. Douglas was found dead inside the apartment.

The autopsy report completed by the N.C. medical examiner’s office says Douglas was shot once in the head. The bullet entered the right side of his forehead and exited the back right side of his head, according to the report.

The apartment showed no sign of robbery, said Capt. Mike Richey.
