Silver Alert issued for missing Greensboro man

Benjamin Paul Groome

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man in Greensboro.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Benjamin Paul Groome, 60, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Groome was last seen at 4513 Groometown Road in Greensboro.

Officials say he may be traveling to Raleigh in a black 1998 Chevrolet truck with the North Carolina license plate RVP5643.

Groome is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He has short gray hair and blue eyes.

The 60-year-old was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and brown work boots.
