Greensboro man arrested by Sunset Beach police, charged with multiple child sex crimes

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. — A Greensboro man has been arrested by Sunset Beach police on multiple child sex crimes, according to WECT.

Harold Robert LeClair Jr., 62, of Greensboro, is charged with 10 counts of indecent liberties with a child and 11 counts of first-degree sex offense.

LeClair was taken into custody by Sunset Beach police, along with the assistance of the Greensboro Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit, at his residence on Dumfries Road in Greensboro, WECT reports.

Officials said the incidents allegedly happened between October 2007 and March 2008 while LeClair was a resident of Sunset Beach.

According to warrants obtained by WECT, the incidents involved more than one victim.

LeClair was placed in the Brunswick County Detention Center on Wednesday evening under a $1 million bond.

An investigation is ongoing and officials said more charges are possible.
