LEXINGTON, N.C. — Two more men face charges for allegedly breaking into Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

Christopher Michael Johnson, 22, and Demetre Stephen Carver, 18, face one count of breaking and entering into a place of worship, larceny after breaking and entering, seven counts of felony breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and five counts of misdemeanor larceny, Davidson County Sheriff’s authorities said.

Joshua Chad Taylor, 22, was arrested on the same charges on Monday. Taylor is being held in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 bail.

Davidson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a breaking and entering at Amazing Grace Baptist Church located on Rogers Road in Lexington.

That same morning, Lexington Police received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins in a nearby neighborhood.

After tying the crimes together, the sheriff’s office and police department took out warrants for Taylor’s arrest. Warrants were later issued for Carver and Johnson.

Carver and Johnson are being held at the Davidson County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
