Suspect carrying metal pipe, dirty pillow case robs Greensboro convenience store

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A suspect carrying a metal pipe and a dirty pillow case robbed a Greensboro convenience store early Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the Express Mart located at 1102 Summit Ave. just before 6 a.m.

The suspect demanded money at which time the clerk surrendered an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

According to police, the suspect was approximately 6-feet tall, wearing a black ski mask covering his face, a long-sleeved black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and work gloves.

Police said they think the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.

The store clerk was not injured during the incident.
