4-year-old killed in head on collision in southern Alamance County

SNOW CAMP, N.C. — A 4-year-old passenger in a vehicle was killed in a head on collision Friday night, according to the Greensboro News & Record.

Master Trooper Chris Knox said troopers with the Highway Patrol were called to Greensboro Chapel Hill Road in Snow Camp for a report of a wreck at about 7 p.m.

Knox said a vehicle traveling eastbound on the road crossed the centerline and went head on into a vehicle traveling westbound, Knox said.

The toddler killed in the wreck was a passenger in the rear of the vehicle that crossed the center-line. The driver of the vehicle and minors ages 16, 3 and 1, all suffered non-life threatening injuries, Knox said.

Names have not been released. The toddler was from Carrboro.
