RALEIGH, N.C. — Kelly Clarkson has canceled an upcoming North Carolina concert to follow her doctor’s orders and give her voice a rest.

The “American Idol” season 1 winner has canceled her performance for Sept. 19 at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh.

The Raleigh show is one of is one of six concerts she’s canceling this month. Two shows in Vienna, Va. this weekend were also canceled.

All tickets will be refunded at the original point of purchase. The “Heatbeat Song” and “Since U Been Gone” singer posted the following statement to social media:

So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates. This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice! I can’t wait to get healthy and see y’all back on the road soon. I hate canceling and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show. Please know that I never cancel anything unless it’s absolutely necessary.
