HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Food pantry shelves are running low and the United Way of Greater High Point is trying to change that.
The United Way is hosting a “Canpaign” to gather more canned foods to food pantries in the area.
Open Door Ministries are particularly in need of canned meats, cereal and breakfast items.
Along with canned food, the organization is also accepting much-needed toiletry items to deliver to families in need.
The items raised during the Canpaign will be distributed to area food shelters on Sept. 15.
If you'd like to help you can drop off items at the United Way office at 201 Church Ave. in High Point.
