Suspects sought for home invasion, kidnapping, business robbery in Guilford County

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery and kidnapping that happened on Sunday.

According to Sheriff BJ Barnes, at 11:58 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a residence in the 5000 block of Swanson Road, Greensboro.

Upon arrival, deputies found four victims, three of whom were tied up.

An investigation revealed that five or six masked men armed with handguns forced their way into the residence and tied up the victims.

The suspects allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the house as well as the victims’ red 2013 Dodge Ram truck (North Carolina registration CCA-6420) and white 2005 Cadillac Escalade (North Carolina registration CCA-6421).

The suspects allegedly then forced a female resident of the home into a vehicle and took her to Taqueria Hidalgo, located at 2609 Randleman Road in Greensboro, where she was forced to open the business.

Once inside Taqueria Hidalgo, the suspects allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled the scene.
