Pedestrian hit and killed by car on Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a reported motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the 3100 block of Peters Creek Parkway Sunday night.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian, 49-year-old Randy Martin Luffman, was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Peters Creek at about 9:20 p.m. Authorities had no permanent address for Luffman.

He was hit by a 2003 PT Cruiser driven by Bruce William Hege of Winston-Salem in the far left travel lane of southbound Peters Creek

Luffman died at the scene due to his injuries caused by the collision.

There is an ongoing investigation.
