8 people shot, injured in NC drive-by shooting; 1 in serious condition

DURHAM, N.C. — Eight people were injured in a drive-by shooting at a North Carolina home during a late-night cookout.

WRAL reported that it happened at about 10:30 p.m. outside of a home in Durham. No arrests have been made and officials have not identified the victims.

One of the victims remained hospitalized Saturday in serious condition. The other victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officials said the vehicle used in the drive-by was a small grey or white car. A possible motive has not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
