GREENSBORO, N.C. – This year's tournament is packed. People from all over the country are showing up to watch popular athletes. Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, Ernie Els and David Toms have been some of the public's most followed athletes during the tournament.

The tournament director says the result of all these high-profiled athletes is record breaking attendance numbers. They had a sell-out crowd on Friday with 30,000 people showing up.

"Most of the people out here either love golf or are avid golfers," said Mark Brazil, tournament director. "Or they are just wild about seeing Tiger for the first time because this is his first time being here."

Tickets for daily visits are selling fast. Many partnering businesses selling tournament tickets have run out.

"I would probably say you want to book them online," Brazil said. "It is the best way that you can guarantee you'll get a ticket out here."

You can buy a ticket online as cheap as $30. Tournament officials ordered 49,000 extra tickets for the week.

Large crowds has made parking space tight at the tournament’s two premier parking locations. The GTCC parking area will join American Furniture Warehouse on Gate City Blvd and Furnitureland South in Jamestown as Premier Parking Lots. Parking is $10 per car at each of these three locations.

Standard public parking will remain at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex where the charge is $8 per car. Transportation from all parking lots to Sedgefield Country Club is complimentary.
