JAMESTOWN, N.C. -- The Wyndham Championship may be the big talker in the Triad this week, but have you wondered what the players’ wives have been up to?

Wednesday, the ladies took a break from golf to try their hand at a different game -- playing in a Price is Right style event at Furnitureland South.

“This personally is my favorite wives event of the year,” Amanda Hadley said.

"It's so much fun just to be able to relax and get away from golf and hang with friends for a while,” Kristina Putnam said.

The event is now a 19-year tradition at Furnitureland South, and just like the game, the ladies had to guess the manufacturers’ retail price on 14 different pieces of furniture without going over.

The items were donated by Furnitureland South’s manufacturing partners.

The home furnishings held a combined value of at least $30,000.

"We're just blessed to have the PGA Tour here in Greensboro and have a small part in that,” Jeff Harris, president and co-owner of Furnitureland South, said.

"We also gave a shopping spree to the Wives Association to give back to anybody throughout the country that they feel is deserving,” Jason Harris, co-owner of Furnitureland South, said.

The event also included special guests Michael Foreman, a former NASA astronaut and spacewalker, English professional golfer and golf analyst Peter Oosterhuis and FOX8 Meteorologist Emily Byrd.

Furnitureland South is the official furnishings partner of the Wyndham Championship.
