HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Asheville’s neighbor to the south has been named a best kept secret by the Raleigh News and Observer, according to WLOS.

The newspaper described Hendersonville as a must-see mountain town just a 30-minute drive south of the Biltmore and Asheville.

“There is plenty to occupy a traveler for a day, or a couple of days, or a tranquil summer, and much of it is low-cost or provided by organizations that ask only for donations,” the article said.

The newspaper said a big plus for Hendersonville is that it’s a great mountain town minus the traffic you might hit in and around Asheville.
