CLEMMONS, N.C. – A new Mediterranean restaurant is coming to Clemmons and the owner hopes to open by October.

Southern Mediterranean Cuisine is scheduled to open this fall in the site of the former Cozumel on Lewisville-Clemmons Road in Clemmons.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in late September or early October, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“We wanted to create a destination that felt more like home than just another brick and mortar restaurant,” the post read, in part.

Owner Steve Hutchins said on Facebook that they will be posting the menu within the coming weeks.

Work crews have been renovating the restaurant, at 2630 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, for months, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
