GIBSONVILLE, N.C. — A Whitsett man is facing sex offense charges following an investigation, according to Gibsonville police.

Brenneth Gavsten Hatcher Jr., 19, of Whitsett, is charged with secret peeping and second-degree sexual offense.

In early June 2015, the Gibsonville Police Department developed information from an unrelated case that led to an investigation into secret peeping and second-degree sexual offense.

Investigators with Gibsonville police, assisted by the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Graham Police Department, Guilford County Department of Social Services and Crossroads Sexual Assault Response and Resource Center, conducted a joint investigation.

On Tuesday, Hatcher was arrested and taken into custody, Gibsonville police said.

Hatcher was placed in the Guilford County Jail under a $30,000 bond.
