911 outages reported in Randolph County resolved

Update (6:15 p.m.) — As of 6 p.m., the outage has been resolved, Randolph County Emergency Services said.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Some North State customers have been unable to call 911 since approximately 4:15 p.m. This affects customers primarily in northwestern Randolph County, according to Randolph County Emergency Services.

Cell phone calls to 911 have not been affected.

Citizens in the outage area can try to call (336) 318-6929 for Randolph County emergency dispatch or 911 from a cellular phone.

Telephone service providers have been notified of the issue and are working to correct the problem as soon as possible.
