Winston-Salem man robbed inside his home; police charge two

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Two people are in jail after a Winston-Salem resident came home to a man inside his house holding a gun and demanding money.

Police charged Raykeem Alexander Byrd, 21, of 1937 Leight St., with felonious breaking and entering of a residence, armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping, larceny of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to a press release.

Police also charged Kali Kame Wright, 22, of 1937 Leight St., with felony assault on a government official and misdemeanor assault on a government official.
