Escaped NC offender back in custody

UPDATE — Escaped offender Jamie Parrish is back in custody.

He was arrested by deputies from the Robeson County Sheriffs Office at a Walmart store in Pembroke at about 7:15 a.m. Friday.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Law enforcement officers are searching for a man who escaped the Robeson CRV Center in Lumberton Thursday night.

Jamie Parrish, 40, was discovered missing from the center shortly after 10 p.m.

He was serving a 90-day period of confinement for violating of his post-release supervision.

Parrish was scheduled for release Friday morning but faces charges in Wayne County for larceny, possession of stolen goods, driving while impaired and other driving offenses.

He was scheduled to be transferred to the Wayne County Jail Friday.
