ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a man missing since Easter.

A family member contacted authorities on July 14 to report James Michael Beam, 57, missing.

Beam’s family said they hadn’t heard from him since Easter 2015, but he has been known to drift from house to house in the area where he lived. The family member who called told authorities he/she doesn’t speak to Beam on a regular basis.

Beam was last seen at 195 Richfield Road in Richfield.

He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Beam has gray hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a Chinese symbol on his left hand.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation should call Lt. Chad Moose at (704) 216-8687.
