SAGAMORE, Mass. — A customer left a teenage waitress in Massachusetts a $200 tip and a note to follow her dreams.

Cape News reported that 16-year-old Maura Sneed got the pleasant surprise while working at Friendly’s Restaurant in Sagamore earlier this month.

“It’s pretty crazy,” the waitress told Cape News. “He came in around lunchtime, just ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, and left.”

The unidentified tipper left the waitress a tip of more than 1,500 percent on a bill for just over $12.

At the bottom of the receipt, the customer also wrote, “Follow you dreams and never give up.”

The teen waitress said she does not know why the customer tipped her that high. She said she never thought it would happen to her and she plans to use the money to open up a savings account.
