Fake ‘nurses’ take jewelry from NC nursing homes

CARY, N.C. — The Cary Police Department is using pictures from surveillance cameras to try to identify two women who allegedly dressed up as nurses to steal from a nursing home.

The women are seen going door to door checking for empty rooms and then going in to take primarily, jewelry. The stolen property is worth tens of thousands of dollars.

“Never hesitate to ask for proper identification from anyone in the service industry, and always keep your valuables locked up and out of plain view regardless of where you live,” said Capt. Randall Rhyne with the Cary Police Department.
