Christmas in July

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro are celebrating Christmas a little early this year. Join them as they partner with North State at the Greensboro Grasshopper’s “Christmas in July” game. It’s happening on July 25 at 7 p.m. at New Bridge Bank Park in Greensboro as the Grasshoppers take on the Savannah Sand Gnats.

The Salvation Army and North State have partnered for a number of years at Christmas for the FOX8 Gifts for Kids campaign and are doing so again for this game. Those coming to the game are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift for this year’s FOX8 Gifts for Kids campaign, which benefits The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program.

The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Members will be featured before during and after the game, including performing the National Anthem, throwing out the first pitch and parading on the field with Santa. The game will include fake snow with sledding on Natty’s Hill behind left field, nine innings of gifts, and fireworks to cap off the night.

Tickets to the game can be purchase online at www.gsohoppers.com or at the stadium’s box office.
