Davidson County couple charged with arson, fraud in connection to house fire

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Davidson County couple was charged with arson in connection to a house fire that happened in November 2014.

Firefighters responded to the couple’s home, located at 2825 Craver Road, on Nov. 24, 2014, at approximately 5:40 p.m.

The home was vacant when they arrived on the scene.

After a lengthy investigation, Neal and Shana Gordon, the property owners, were charged with one count each of second-degree arson, insurance fraud and felony conspiracy.

Shana Gordon was arrested in Davie County and placed in the Davie County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Neal Gordon was arrested in Lexington and place in the Davidson County Jail under a 150,000 secured bond.

Both are scheduled to appear in Davidson County court on Sept. 8.
