Man hit by stray bullet inside NC hotel

RALEIGH, N.C.  — A person was shot at a convenience store in Raleigh on Tuesday, and then the bullet from the same shooting hit a man inside a nearby hotel room.

The shooting happened at the Exxon station located at 3700 New Bern Avenue around 5 p.m.

Frightened eyewitnesses counted off the rounds that blasted from the gun of the suspect who opened fire on the man he was arguing with in the gas station’s parking lot.

“It was like ‘boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,'” said Darius Brown.
