1-month old suffers 20 broken ribs, parents arrested

WATERBURY, Conn. — A Connecticut couple has been arrested for assaulting their 1-month-old son.

Nikolas Radaskie, 21, and Kali Sastrum, 18, both of Waterbury, were arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor.

The baby suffered injuries to his mouth and eye, had a swollen right leg and also had 20 broken ribs, according to WTIC.

The parents brought their son to St. Mary’s Hospital on July 2 and the baby was transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
