WINSTON-SALEM, N.C – A man was killed when a car struck his house at the intersection of Oak Summit Road and Germanton Road early Sunday morning.

Police said that Tommy Leon Curry was killed when a sedan driven by Quante Hashim Rucker left the roadway and collided with his home at 300 Oak Summit Road.

Curry was at home at the time of the accident and was hit by the car as it crashed through the house, according to authorities.

Rucker was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
