ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — It has been more than three years, but Nancy Moseley still breaks down when she thinks of her daughter Ladonna French.

“I try to smile and go ahead,” said Moseley, 79.

French was shot and killed, along with her husband Troy in their home in Reidsville in February of 2012.

“Somebody called and said that they had been murdered,” Moseley said. “I just froze. It’s just not what you ever want to hear.”

She hangs a blue wreath and ribbon outside her home in Reidsville.

“It stands for hope,” she said.

A hope that the person who killed them will finally be found and brought to justice.

Investigators with Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office are still actively looking into the case.

The search for answers has pushed some community members into action.

Moseley says people from the community started The French Family Irrevocable Trust Fund.

Money will go towards a reward for anyone with information.

“Perhaps this money will entice someone to come forward with just a bit of information,” Moseley said.

Moseley hopes finding her daughter and son-in-law’s killer will help bring her family closure after waiting more than three years.

“I think it will be bittersweet,” Moseley said. “It won’t take away that we’ve lost our children.”
