Forsyth Co. deputies looking for suspect in shooting in Rural Hall

RURAL HALL, N.C. — Forsyth County deputies are on scene Friday morning of a shooting in Rural Hall.

One man was shot around 4 a.m. and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not known.

Lee Street is closed at this time between Jackson and Pine streets due to police activity.

Investigators have not identified a suspect or suspects in the case. No one is in custody. A large open lot next the the home has been taped off as deputies take pictures and search with metal detectors.

Neighbors say the area is very tight-knit and they know the family well. They tell FOX 8 that they didn’t hear any shots or see anything strange. Many were woken up by police activity.
