ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — Relatives of a woman accused of helping prison inmate in Anson County escape over the weekend  say she is innocent, according to WSOC.

Kieonda Miller Parker was nervous about speaking out but wanted to stand up to defend her older sister Kendra Miller.

“This is totally out of my sister’s character,” she said. “Myself and my family feel like these charges are fraudulent.”

Relatives were shocked when police arrested the 33-year-old corrections officer, accusing her of having a sexual relationship with Kristopher McNeil and helping him escape from prison.
