NC former FBI agent writes book on ‘how not to get killed by the police’

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A local law enforcement agency is backing a book with a provocative title. Rowan County Sheriff Kevin L. Auten said he wants all of his officers to read the book “A Survival Guide: How NOT to Get KILLED by the POLICE, PART 1.”

The book was written by Charlotte attorney M. Quentin Williams. He’s a former federal prosecutor and FBI agent.

“I think officers all over the country should read it,” Williams said.

He said he gave the book its title for good reason.
