Power back after some outages reported in Greensboro

Update: Power has been restored.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Authorities are currently working to restore power outages in the area of New Garden and Jefferson roads and in the areas of Horsepen Creek, Battleground and Brassfield.

The power is out and signals are not working in all the side streets in the area. More than 3,000 customers are affected. Greensboro police ask if at all possible to avoid the area and expect delays.

Duke Energy is aware and working on the issue. Power is be restored at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is unknown what caused the power outages.
